Abstract

A new species of goneplacid crab

Paragoneplax chenae

is described

based on collections from the Nansha Islands

South China Sea. P. chenae closely resembles its only congener P. serenei (Zarenkov

1972) in general appearance. They are distinguishable from each other by the male abdominal and gonopodal characters.
